General Dentistry Services for a Healthy Smile
We provide treatment for snoring, dentures, and emergency services
General Dentistry Treatments From an Experienced Dentist
Dr. James Gainer and the team at Wrightsville Dental offer a range of treatments for patients in need of a general dentist for emergency cases or otherwise. You can turn to us for everything from custom dentures and tooth extractions to snoring treatment and root canals. Dr. Gainer uses state-of-the-art technologies and tools to ensure optimal results with all procedures. We also offer sedation dentistry options for patient comfort.
NITROUS OXIDE +
Inhaling this odorless gas for a few minutes can induce a state of relaxation and make the patient numb. This is one of the most commonly used forms of sedation and can be a simple way to induce relaxation in all types of patients.
LOCAL ANESTHETIC +
If we only need to selectively numb certain parts of the mouth, we may do so with local anesthetic. Local anesthesia can help to numb an area for several hours at a time with minimal discomfort.
PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY +
Younger patients can come in and see Dr. Gainer for checkups, fluoride treatments, sealants, and other specialty treatments. Our pediatric dentistry services are designed to help children learn the benefits of maintaining good oral health at a young age.
We can restore missing teeth with a set of dentures, which are false teeth that are custom made to look just like your natural teeth. Dentures can improve the function and aesthetics of your smile.
TOOTH EXTRACTION +
If damaged or decayed teeth are causing other oral health problems, they may need to be extracted. Dr. Gainer uses a simple or surgical technique to perform tooth extractions at our practice.
TOOTH REIMPLANTATION +
If a tooth has fallen out or has been knocked out, call us immediately so that we can save the tooth with a tooth reimplantation procedure. Dr. Gainer uses special techniques to reinsert the tooth in its proper position and promote the healing process.
ROOT CANAL THERAPY +
You may need to get a root canal if the pulp of the tooth has become infected. We will remove the infected pulp and then clean out the canals to reduce the risk of the infection from spreading. We may then cap the tooth with a dental crown.
FULL MOUTH REGENERATION +
If you have severely damaged teeth and gums, a series of full mouth regeneration procedures may be necessary. These procedures may include a combination of restorative and cosmetic treatments to rebuild your smile.
TEETH GRINDING/BRUXISM +
We can help patients break a teeth grinding habit (bruxism) by fitting them with a night guard and recommending certain lifestyle changes. Grinding your teeth can wear your teeth down and put you at risk for a host of oral health problems.
OCCLUSAL ADJUSTMENT +
If your bite is out of alignment, you may be putting unnecessary pressure on certain parts of the mouth, which in turn can cause jaw pain, toothaches, and permanent tooth damage. Dr. Gainer may need to perform an occlusal adjustment (bite adjustment) to reduce the risk of oral health problems.
EMERGENCY CASES +
We have appointment slots available every day to handle emergency cases. Please call us immediately if you are experiencing a toothache, excessive jaw pain, or loose teeth, or if you notice any signs of infection.
SNORING TREATMENT +
If you have been unable to break the habit of snoring loudly, come in and see Dr. Gainer for treatment options. We may fit you with a splint to open up the airways while sleeping to prevent snoring.
